What it is
Most EUC decisions get made on assumption: that the estate is sized correctly, that the backups work, that the slow logons are a network problem. The assessment replaces those assumptions with measurements.
It is run by the same engineers who do our pre-sales architecture work. It is not a sales call with a report attached.
What we look at
- Current estate — brokers, session hosts, endpoints, images and profiles. What you have, and how it is actually configured versus how it is documented.
- Performance — real logon duration and user experience per pool and per department, not host averages. This is usually where the surprises are.
- Cost — where spend concentrates, whether capacity matches demand, and what idle resource is costing per month.
- Identity — how users reach their workspace, and whether MFA covers every entry point including legacy gateways.
- Backup and recovery — coverage, immutability, and whether a restore has ever been tested. Microsoft 365 included, since it is the most common gap.
- Endpoints — age, management model, and whether refresh or conversion is the better economics.
What you get
- A written findings document with measurements, not impressions
- A prioritised list of what to fix, ordered by impact against effort
- Cost modelling where a change has a financial case — including the option of changing nothing
- A reference architecture for the target state, if one is warranted
The document is yours. If you take it to another partner, that is a legitimate outcome.
How long it takes
A scoping call of about thirty minutes, then one to two weeks depending on estate size and how quickly we can get read access. Larger or multi-site estates take longer. We will tell you the timeline before starting, not during.
The proof-of-concept lab
Where the recommendation involves a product change, we will run it in our Dubai lab with your applications and your user profiles before you commit to anything. Vendor demos run on vendor workloads; this runs on yours.
Who this is for
It is most useful if one of these is true:
- You are planning a VDI refresh, an AVD or Windows 365 migration, or an endpoint replacement cycle
- Your AVD or VDI spend is rising and nobody can explain why
- Logons are slow and the cause has never been isolated
- Backups run nightly but a restore has never been rehearsed
- You are inheriting an estate somebody else built
It is less useful if you already know exactly what you want to buy. In that case, go straight to a quote.
Why it is free
Because we are a distributor, and a well-architected estate is worth more to us over time than a mis-sized one sold quickly. If the assessment concludes that you should change nothing, we will say so — that outcome is common enough that we would rather tell you early than discover it during a deployment.
